A few weeks ago my friend John asked me to come down to Detroit to photograph his parent’s anniversary party. I’m obsessed with his house down in Indian Village and when he added the words ‘luau’ and pig roast I was sold. Of course, it was totally awesome!! The entire party was a luau and included Polynesian dancers, a pig roast, leis, and fabulous drinks. The Polynesian Dancers of Michigan welcomed guests with a lei and performed a captivating show before dinner. The pig roast was a total hit and part of the action getting cooked in the back yard. Drink machines, cute decorations, and the lush garden landscape were just a few of my favorite details! Here is a small selection of photos from the party – there ended up being over 150 final images!
