“It’s ok to be scared. Being scared means you are about to do something really, really brave.”

I love photography because it captures moments in time and allows us to look back and remember our friends or family at those times, events that happened, feelings we shared…  Sometimes we can’t place feelings into words and pictures are all that we have to stir up those emotions and remember where we were then and where we are now.  Earlier this week I was blessed to spend some time with this little cutie Bryson and his family before he went in for his last appointments and then his open heart surgery.  Bryson was born with a congenital heart defect requiring surgery to repair it.  The little man made it 4 months and got nice and strong before he headed in for surgery.  His parents didn’t know about his defect until after he was born, so an already scary road was a total surprise.  Let me just say, they are so sweet and so caring I know he will be in just the right hands throughout this journey.  It’s hard to imagine such a tiny little human being so strong and going through so much.  He was such a cooperative little guy as we took him all around the park, only breaking a few times for a good snack!  Also, we were so lucky to have his Aunty there to make him smile and to help keep him entertained. She didn’t want to be in any pictures but you’ll catch a few at the end of her helping out because those are those moments you have to remember.  I’m happy to say Bryson made it out of surgery and he’s doing well – keep him in your prayers!
